BSF's cook mastermind in Rs 100 crore fraud, fugitive in 46 cases

New Delhi: Delhi Police Crime Branch has arrested Oma Ram Marwadi of Rajasthan in connection to a 100 crore fraud case. He was wanted in 59 cases in Rajasthan. He has also worked as a cook in BSF from 2004 to 2006. The accused said that he wanted become rich and hence left his job with the BSF.

Delhi Police Crime Branch has arrested an ex-cook of BSF (Border Security Force). The accused who was arrested left his job at the BSF in order to become ‘rich’.

So he decided to choose the path of fraud and duped people to the tune of Rs 100 crore fraud. Between 2009 to 2011, 49 cases were registered against Oma Ram Marwadi. He was declared a fugitive by the Rajasthan Police in 46 of those cases.

However, to keep the police from tracking him down, he not just used to changes his name but the cities as well. It took Delhi Police six months to nab Oma Ram.

Oma Ram got his job as a cook in BSF back in 2004. However, he left his job within two years with an aim of becoming rich.

He started his own security firm in 2007. He inducted 60 people in the company. Later on he sold the firm to an ex-serviceman Rakesh Mohan. He then started working as an agent in a MLM (Multi Level Marketing). He earned around Rs 1.5 crore and then left this job too. In 2009, the accused launched another firm and became the Managing Director.
