New Delhi: Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday approved the proposal to change the name of Faizabad cantonment to Ayodhya Cantonment.

The renaming of the Cantonment comes ahead of Dussehra celebrations.

In 2018, Faizabad district in Uttar Pradesh was renamed as Ayodhya.
