Patna: A school girl in Bihar’s Patna was shot while returning from coaching classes on Wednesday morning. The visuals of the incident captured by CCTV cameras showed a boy pulling out a gun before firing at the girl.

The chilling incident took place in Indrapuri area of Sipara at around 7:30 pm.

The footage clearly showed the man stalking the girl and hurriedly pulling out his gun out of his bag as he found her at a quieter place. After the incident, the man immediately ran away from the incident spot. The accused has been identified through the CCTV footage who is yet to be arrested.

In the preliminary investigation, the police is suspecting a love angle in the matter. However, an investigation is underway.

The victim, who is in class 9, is in critical condition and undergoing a treatment at a private hospital.
