New Delhi: A ruckus was created in Hajipur of Bihar’s Vaishali district on Ambedkar Jayanti after renowned local Dalit leader Rakesh Paswan was shot dead at his house on Thursday.
Paswan who was a Bhim Army leader, was shot dead at doorstep of his house in Lalgunj area. The miscreants reached Pawan’s house on a bike and suddenly started shooting at the victim who was shot over 20 times.
Talking to media persons, niece of the victim told that the miscreants first bowed down in front of Paswan to touch his feet and then opened fire at him.

Soon after the incident, Pasan was taken to district hospital where he was declared brought dead. The death of Paswan triggered anger among his supporters who created a havoc in the hospital by destroying its properties.
The agitated supporters even took the dead body of Paswan without the post mortem procedure. Amid the ruckus, the crowd shut down the Lalgunj market.
Immediately after that, the police reached the spot to calm down the situation and deployed a team at the hospital to avoid any further protest.

However, the incident has caused a critical situation in the area on Ambedkar Jayanti.
