Bhopal: 20-Year-Old Sits With Headphones On Railway Track, Dies After Train Hits Him

Police said that he was a single child of his parents and his body was handed over to them after post-mortem. Police have launched investigation into the case.

A shocking incident has come to light from Bhopal where a 20-year-old student died after he was hit by a train. He was sitting on a railway track with his headphones and was engaged in his phone when he was hit by the train. The deceased has been identified as Manraj Tomar, a BBA student who used to live in Bharat Nagar, Bhopal. The incident took place when Manraj along with his friend was sitting on parallel railway tracks and watching something on their mobile phones. According to police, Manraj had worn headphones and was engrossed with his phone. After some time, a train approached him, but he wasn’t able to hear due to the headphones. This led to train hitting him eventually and he died on the spot. However, his friend survived the accident as he was sitting on another track.

Reportedly, the incident took place around 3 am in early morning hours. He had gone out with his friend to hangout on Monday night.

What Did The Police Say?

The police was alerted about the incident by his friend and they immediately rushed to the spot. The police said that Manraj couldn’t hear the approaching sound of train as he was wearing headphones and they were plugged in. He couldn’t see the train also as he was using his phone. This led to his unfortunate death after being hit by a train.

Police informed that he was the single child of his parents and his body was handed over to them after post-mortem. Police have launched investigation into the case.

It’s being told that Manraj was interested in bodybuilding and liked to make reels.

This tragic accident highlights the safety concern and deadly consequences if one doesn’t keep check of his surrounding while using his phone. People are advised to be cautious while using their phones on road and other public places to avoid such accidents.
