Bhopal: Due to rains in Municipal Council Bamor, there has been a situation of waterlogging in the wards. Ward No. 13 councilor Lakshmi Devi complained about the same to council president Geeta Jatav. But the chairman deferred the matter by saying that JCB machine was not available.
According to Lakshmi Devi, the chairman told her that “right now JCB is working in ward number 10, the work of ward number 13 will be seen later.” Lakshmi Devi alleged that the Speaker refused her by saying you are a Congress corporator, I have to first work in the ward of my party’s corporators.
City council president accused of favoritism
On this matter, other Congress councilors also accused Geeta Jatav of bias. Due to water logging in Ward No. 13, people are very upset, people’s houses have been filled with water and even mines are not being built in many people’s houses. Let us tell you that in Ward No. 13, the population of Harijan Samaj is more.
The Congress councilors appealed to Geeta Jatav that she is the chairperson of the entire council and should not discriminate against anyone. The councilors said that the problem of waterlogging is the most in the ward, where children are not even able to go to school. The councilors appealed to the Speaker to visit the ward and take stock of the situation himself.
Senior Congress councilor Vasudev Semil along with other colleagues also spoke to some officials to control the water-logging situation.
