Karnataka Election 2023: Congress party has released the first list of candidates for the Karnataka Assembly election. The list contains the names of 124 candidates, including Former Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah and state congress chief DK Shivkumar.
The election commission of India has not declared the notification for the election yet. The tenure of the Karnataka Assembly will end on 24 May 2023.

As per Media Reports, the Central election committee of congress finalised the first list of candidates in a meeting held on 17 March. The list was scheduled to be announced on 22 March, but it was released later for some reason.
The first list includes the names of 124 candidates. According to the list, Former CM Siddaramaiah will contest from Varuna Constituency, Congress chief DK Shivakumar will fight from Kanakapura constituency, and Mallikaarjun Kharge’s son Priyank Kharge will compete from Chittapur.
