I expected that they (Congress) would recognize me and give me a ticket, but I didn’t get the opportunity. They (BJP) warmly welcomed me and I will work for the party. I am a worker, I can work anywhere,” Said Rajnandani.

She joined the saffron party at the state’s party headquarters in Bengaluru in presence of BS Yeddyurappa and other party leaders.

Her father, Kagodu Thimmappa expressed his disappointment over Rajnandani’s decision to join BJP.

“I heard this news now. I never expected that she (Dr Rajanandini) will do like this. It’s unfortunate. There must be something behind this. It could be Hartalu Halappa’s (BJP leader) tactics. I will try to speak to her. I will always stand in favour of Congress, I will work for the Congress party'” said Kagodu Thimmappa.

The Congress has released its candidate lists for the upcoming Assembly election, Rajnandani expected to get a ticket but Congress did not give her a ticket, so she decided to join BJP.
