Bengaluru Metro: In an attempt to control increasing passenger footfall and improper behaviour while boarding the Namma metro trains, the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has started a new program to address these problems.

The BMRCL’s programme has been introduced to reduce the chaos while boarding the train and to make passengers learn about the metro’s basic etiquette at the stations.

Passengers have been regularly making complaints about congestion at the Metro stations like the ones at Majestic and Baiyappanahalli.

A large number of complaints of propelling and thrashing at these metro stations caused an uncomfortable situation for female commuters.

The BMRCL has started an awareness campaign to educate people about basic metro etiquette and also to encourage people to adhere to the rules in order to maintain the order of the stations. Commuters have asked to use headphones while listening to music on metro trains.
