Bengaluru Power Cut Alert: BESCOM Announces Outage in Several Areas on Sept 15

BESCOM has announced a scheduled power outage in several areas of Bengaluru on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, lasting for six hours.

Power supply will be disrupted in Bengaluru on Tuesday, September 16. This cut will be done due to maintenance work being carried out by Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) at the 66/11 kV Adugodi substation.

According to officials, power will be off from 10 am to 5 pm. This shutdown is necessary for the second quarter servicing of three transformers of the substation. Apart from this, the BESCOM team will also repair 11 kV breakers and service the on-load tap changer (OLTC) of transformers 2 and 3.

During this time, power supply of many residential and business areas will be affected. BESCOM has appealed to citizens and shopkeepers to make necessary arrangements in advance in view of this seven-hour supply disruption.

BESCOM has assured that power supply will be resumed as soon as the maintenance work is completed.
