An entrepreneur’s farewell note to Bengaluru on X has gone viral and garnered massive views. Ujjawal Asthana, Co-founder of Zymrat shared the note in which he called Bengaluru his home for over 14 years. He said that the city has given him all the good things in his life. Ujjawal said that he is leaving Bengaluru for Pune, but will continue to walk the lanes of the city where he never felt like an outsider.

What Did He Write On Farewell Note?

He wrote on X, “Personal note: I am leaving Bangalore for Pune. Bangalore has been home for 14+ years. The city has given me all the good things in my life – first job, first foreign trip, a life partner, 2 successful businesses, funding, startup acquisition, great friends, a network worth in gold and much more.”

Ujjawal recounted his days in Bengaluru and said that he wasn’t a local but also never felt like an outsider. “I am not a local but there wasn’t a day when I felt like an outsider – and if you are thinking that’s because I live in a bubble of high rise and car – thats not the case. I have also lived the BMTC, Auto, Cab life in the city for longest time,” wrote Ujjawal.

He further appreciated Bengaluru and called it more than a city. “Bangalore is not a city, it is a beautiful experience that is hard to explain in words. You experience it once you live with the people here and walk in the lanes of Jayanagar,” he added.

People who call Bangalore “meh”, need to live beyond the weather, coffee, beer and startups.

He also mentioned where he is heading next and said, “And while I am going to make Pune my new home, and I can’t wait to start my journey there, I will keep walking in the lanes of Bangalore – the city I have called home since I became an adult, on each trip.”
