Bengaluru: In a shocking incident, a 26-year-old woman has accused her landlord’s brother of a brutal assault on December 3. The woman hails from West Bengal and lived in a rented apartment in Sanjay Nagar, Bengaluru. She claimed that the man abused her, slapped her, choked her, and pinned her against the wall during the incident.
According to the reports, the incident took place on the night of December 3 when the victim had gone to collect a parcel near the apartment gate. The accused, who was present there in an intoxicated condition, started to verbally abuse her before launching the horrifying attack.
What Did The Victim Say?
The woman has described the incident and revealed how the accused approached her. The woman said, “On the morning of December 3, he approached me through my window, insisting I open the door and talk. When I politely refused, he seemed visibly upset. That night, I went downstairs to hand over a parcel to a delivery person. The landlord, heavily drunk, confronted me, demanding to know why I didn’t speak to him earlier. He blocked the building gate and said, “Who the hell are you to show me attitude while staying in my house?”
He then started to attack her after she refused to engage with him. The man slapped her, pulled her hair and choked her while passing lewd comments
She added, “He slapped me with full force, pulled my hair, and choked me on the staircase, banging my head against the wall multiple times until I blacked out.”
The woman further claimed that the accused said, “Come now, I will show you what I can do to you,” while exposing himself, saying things like, “You talk too much, I will put this in your mouth,” Mint reported.
The accused bit her finger when she tried to escape, leaving injuries. Despite the terrifying attack, she managed to escape and file a complaint. Police have registered FIR against the accused, identified as Manjunath Gowda.
