Bengaluru Horror: Six Students Detained, Warden Arrested for Allegedly Forcing 15-Year-Old to Dance Naked

A Gujarat court has issued notices to journalists Abhisar Sharma and Raju Parulekar on criminal defamation complaints filed by the Adani Group.

The Bengaluru police in Bannerghatta have arrested six boys studying at an international school and have also arrested the warden of their hostel in connection with a 15-year-old boy harassment case.

According to the police, older boys bullied the 15-year-old boy to make him dance naked and they hit him with steel hangers when he refused. The police reported that the abuse continued on the 5th and the 6th of September, as older boys poured hot and cold water on him.

“He kept appealing for help from the warden who dismissed the incident over the complaint being minor”. according to Indian Express. The police said the student had complained to the warden. But the warden ignored him because he thought it was a minor issue. He later called the boy’s parents, who then proceeded to call the police” Now there allegedly a police complaint taken out against the warden has been arrested for negligence and no intervention.

Officials have lodged complaints under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Juvenile Justice Act and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act that include sexual assault and criminal intimidation. The school’s principal has been summoned for questioning in relation to what occurred.

In another case, police arrested Raghuveer, 25, a man running a cyber cafe in Bengaluru’s Hebbagodi area, for allegedly making and selling fake government ID cards and fake educational certificates over the last year. According to police, Raghuveer used the cafe on Bhavani Road to forge documents, including Aadhaar cards and SSLC/PU marks cards, charging Rs 2,000 – Rs 10,000 for fake IDs and as high as Rs 50,000 for the fake educational certificates.

Police indicated that the cafe catered to customers who were mostly looking for fake Aadhaar cards simply to check into a hotel. Police arranged and executed an undercover operation to confirm the activity and then executed a raid, arresting Raghuveer and his 19-year-old aide, Yashwanth. Police also confiscated a number of devices that were used in the forgery of documents. Police have launched an investigation into the matter.
