A 47-year-old retired serviceman was allegedly murdered by his wife and son in Viveknagar, central Bengaluru, on Sunday, reportedly due to his strict household rules, according to police. The deceased, identified as Bolu Arab, was a native of Maharashtra who had taken voluntary retirement in 2017 and had since been living in Viveknagar with his family. Police have arrested his wife, 36-year-old Tabassum, and their 19-year-old son, Sameer.
Authorities said Sameer had initially called the police helpline around 1 am on Sunday, claiming that a group of six people broke into their home and fatally attacked his father.
Police Response And Arrest
Viveknagar police inspector, together with Shekhar H Tekkannavar, who is the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central), rushed directly to the location. The crime scene made the police interrogate the mother as well as her son. The police have charged both individuals with murder. The investigation established that Sameer killed Arab by using his hands to strangle him. The household endured prolonged misery because Arab’s strict behavior ultimately led to his death. Police reports indicate Arab scolded his son, Sameer, regarding his friend’s meeting while simultaneously scolding his wife about the same issue. The boy and his mother made a murder plan against Arab following his frequent outbursts about unimportant matters, according to police investigation, as reported by Deccan Herald.
Arab broke free from his unconscious state to fight his son for the next ten minutes. Despite seeming awake after consuming the pills, his body remained under their influence and caused him to collapse. Police reports indicate that after his father fell unconscious from the pills, Sameer strangled him. The police heard Sameer state that his strict father watched their every move while making suspicious accusations about their activities at home. Since no one within the house walls was permitted to socialize with his father, Arab punished his wife for every single household difficulty he observed. Both Aram and his wife Tabassum were married for last 22 years. The deceased, Arab, is from Maharashtra, and his wife Tabassum from Hyderabad. The teenager Sameer attends his first year of university studies.
