Bengaluru: Kannada actor Chetan Kumar has been arrested by the Bengaluru Police for his derogatory tweet against Hindutva. The Bajrang Dal leaders lodged a police complaint against Chetan. It was said that his tweet hurt the sentiments of the Hindu community.
Actor Chetan Kumar has been arrested by the Seshadripuram police, a Police station in Bengaluru. According to police apart from being an actor, Chetan Kumar is also a Dalit and tribal activist. The police presented them in the district court on Tuesday.
Actor Chetan Kumar is accused of insulting a religion and religious beliefs and making statements promoting enmity between two communities.

In a tweet made on March 20, Kumar claimed that Hindutva is built on lies. After this, he also gave many examples to prove his point.
After his tweet, many Hindu organsation filed complaints against him, after which police have arrested him.
