Bengaluru: The infamous Bengaluru traffic has once again made it to headlines, as it posed an unexpected challenge to fifteen German pilots. A group of fifteen German pilots visiting Bengaluru for the first time got stuck in notorious traffic of the city. They were stuck in traffic for more than two hours. The delay caused them to miss the much anticipated inaugural ceremony of Aero India 2025 at the Yelahanka Air Force Station.
Here’s What Happened
Interestingly, despite staying at a hotel 17 km from the event venue, the pilots got late. On the day of inaugural event, they had set out early in the morning, expecting a smooth ride. But it turned into nightmare after they were caught in traffic snarl. The short commute turned into hours delay and by the time they reached the venue, the opening ceremony had concluded.
While the delay caused disappointment initially, pilots were positive about the rest of the event.
Hindustan Times quoted authorities who addressed the delay faced by German pilots. They stated that special arrangements had been made to facilitate the movement of foreign delegates, including a designated lane to bypass heavy traffic. “Unfortunately, the German pilots were unaware of this provision and ended up taking a regular route instead,” added the officials.
While Bengaluru’s traffic continues to cause distress for commuters, officials stated that the overall traffic management for Aero India this year has witnessed significant improvements.
