Bengaluru Metro Alert: Purple Line Services Partially Shut For 3 Hours On March 9– Check Affected Stations

The Magadi Road–MG Road route will not be operational due to maintenance work.

The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has implemented a partial railway shutdown between Magadi Road and MG Road stations on the Purple Line for maintenance purposes. The shutdown will last for three hours, from 7 am to 10 am, on Sunday, March 9. Track maintenance operations necessitate this three-hour stoppage between 7 am and 10 am. Passengers are advised not to purchase QR tickets or tokens for travel between the Purple and Green Lines during this time, as per BMRCL directives. To prevent confusion, QR ticket purchases will be disabled since Purple Line services will not be available at Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Station until operations resume at 10 am.

Commuters should plan their journeys accordingly to avoid delays and disruptions. Once maintenance is completed at 10 am, the affected section will return to regular operations.
