Bengaluru: Indians are known for having solutions to everyday problems of all kinds. Their creative solutions, termed as ‘Jugaad’ often takes the internet by storm. Recently, a Bengaluru-based designer’s post showcasing her unique solution to a problem has gone viral on the social media. The user, named Ashita, shared how she used a hack to drain the first batch of water from her newly installed water purifier.
As a part of the procedure to function the purifier, Ashita had to drain the first batch of water. But she felt the task too tiring and the sink was a bit far away too. As the task had to be done, she invented a smart trick. Ashita took a large water can, made a hole in the bottom and placed it under the purifier’s tap (nozzle). She then positioned another water bottle in front of the water can. It was placed in such a way that water from the big can flowed into the bottle. The last bottle drained into the kitchen sink directly.
This creative hack eased her task. Sharing the picture of her setup, she wrote on X, “I just got a water purifier and first batch needed to be emptied. As a lazy designer, I had to do something.” She added, “The fun part was using a big knife to cut out the bottles.”
