Bengaluru: Flight services have been disrupted at Bengaluru Airport due to bad weather and heavy rains. 14 flights had to be diverted and six flights were delayed. After which, the passengers had to suffer. An airport official said flight services were affected due to strong winds and heavy rain. Flight service was suspended from 4:05 pm to 4:51 pm. After this, the system has been restored. Of the 14 flights that were diverted, 12 were diverted to Chennai, one to Coimbatore and one to Hyderabad. The flights to Chennai are being refuelled and will soon return to Bengaluru. According to the Meteorological Department, KIA Devanahalli received 45.2 mm of rain on Tuesday evening. Traffic came to a standstill in Devanahalli due to heavy rains and normal life was thrown out of gear.
