Bengaluru: In a shocking incident reported from Bengaluru, a college student became a victim of sexual assault after befriending her dance teacher on social media. The heinous crime took place multiple times, leaving the young woman traumatized and devastated.

The survivor, a college student in her early twenties, was passionate about dance and sought to enhance her skills by taking dance classes. It was during one such pursuit of her passion that she came across the dance teacher, who seemed amiable and professional. Little did she know that this encounter would turn into a nightmare.

Trust betrayed on social media

After attending a few classes, the dance teacher approached the young woman on social media platforms, striking up a friendly conversation. Gradually, the conversations turned more personal, and the teacher managed to gain the student’s trust through seemingly genuine interactions. However, this was all part of a sinister plan to exploit her vulnerability.

This is how he enacted the horrific plan

Taking advantage of the trust he had gained, the dance teacher convinced the student to meet him outside the dance studio under the pretext of discussing her progress. It was during one of these meetings that he allegedly spiked her drink, rendering her unconscious. He then raped her at an undisclosed location.

Repeated instances of assaults

Tragically, this was not an isolated incident. The dance teacher continued to exploit the victim’s trust and vulnerability, subjecting her to multiple instances of sexual assault over a period of time. The survivor was trapped in a cycle of fear and manipulation, unable to escape the clutches of her tormentor.

Meanwhile, the survivor’s ordeal came to light when she mustered the courage to confide in a close friend, who immediately encouraged her to report the crime to the authorities. The survivor filed a complaint with the Bengaluru Police, providing all the necessary evidence to support her case.

Police arrest the accused

In a swift response to the complaint, the Bengaluru Police took prompt action and arrested the accused dance teacher. He is now facing charges of sexual assault, exploitation, and violation of trust.
