Bengaluru: A businessman has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a senior citizen following a parking dispute in West Bengaluru. According to reports, the police said that the incident underscores the problems posed by indiscriminate and illegal parking in the city. The accused identified as Raghavendra J ran a second-hand car showroom outside the 70-year-old advocate’s house.
It all started on Wednesday afternoon when the accused opposed the victim’s family parking their car outside his office in Nagarabhavi II Stage. Reports stated that Raghavendra started abusing the victim’s daughter-in-law while he was away in court.

TOI quoted the victim’s granddaughter as saying, “When the fight was going on, Dalapathi, who was returning from court, intervened. By then, Raghavendra stabbed him with a knife.” The accused fled the spot after attempting to murder him, reports added.
The advocate was rushed to the ICU of a private hospital in Bengaluru and is currently under observation. A complaint was filed at the police station following which the police arrested Raghavendra and charged him under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including 109 (attempt to murder).
In a separate incident, a man was stabbed to death on Thursday by his minor brother-in-law in West Delhi.
According to Police, the victim was stabbed near his residence in Sudama Puri. Reports revealed that the victim married a woman last year against her family’s will. Additionally, the victim’s father alleged that his son had multiple arguments with their daughter-in-law’s family. No one lodged any complaint with the police, reports stated.
