Bengaluru: 75-Year-Old Woman Found Dead Outside Her House In HSR Layout; Police Suspect Suicide

Bengaluru: In a shocking incident that took place in Bengaluru’s HSR layout Sector 7, a 75-year-old woman was reportedly found dead under mysterious circumstances outside her residence. The incident that occurred outside her three-storey house between 3.30 and 4 am early Sunday morning came to light after her daughter filed a police complaint.

Police Suspect Suicide

According to the police, the deceased, identified as Vijaylakshmi, is believed to have committed suicide. However, the exact cause of her death will be revealed once the investigations are completed. Her daughter, Pramila, who resides in KR Puram, was not at home when the tragedy unfolded. She was initially informed about her mother’s demise by other family members.

‘Appeared To Be Mentally Stable’ Says Police

Meanwhile, the Police have not ruled out whether it is a case of suicide, death due to an accidental fall, or something else. TNIE quoted a senior officer as saying, “On the face of it, Vijaylakshmi appeared to be mentally stable and was not reported to be depressed by family members. We are checking whether any health issues related to age may have caused her to slip from the third floor accidentally or if she took the extreme step.”

Investigation Underway

Reports added that the deceased had lost her husband three years ago, and later both her sons. She was living with her two daughters-in-law and grandsons in Bengaluru’s HSR Layout Sector 7. The case is under currently under probe by the HSR Layout police.
