NIA raids: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday conducted raids at several places in Mumbai and Bengaluru in search of some suspects having links with terrorist organisations ISIS and Al-Qaeda. News agency ANI reported the news.

According to reports, Action has been taken in the case of a conspiracy to spread terrorist activities and disrupt the unity, security, and sovereignty of the country. Sources said that during the searches, digital devices and sensitive documents were seized. As per the report, NIA has called Some suspects for questioning.

Raids were conducted last month also

NIA also conducted search operations at six places in Karnataka last month. The investigation agency had arrested 2 suspects in connection with the Shivamogga terror conspiracy case. Those arrested have been identified as Reshan Thajuddin Shaikh Huzair Farhan Baig, both are from Shivamogga, Karnataka.

After investigation NIA revealed that Maaz Munir had radicalised his close associate and college friend Reshan Thajuddin and both had received funds from their ISIS handlers through crypto-wallets.
