Bengaluru: Bagmane Solarium City in Kundanahalli, Bengaluru, has inaugurated a feeder bus service to the Seetaramapalya metro station on KR Puram. Hundreds of employees working near the tech park will benefit from this.
During peak hours, the feeder bus is said to have a time-frequency of 10 minutes. Because Kundanahalli-Whitefield Road is notorious for its gridlock, the feeder bus service is projected to increase public transportation utilisation, particularly among techies.
Bengaluru Police Commissioner tweeted, “This will be a good initiative to ease congestion, especially in the IT corridor.”
Previously, the Bagmane tech park in CV Raman Nagar had established a feeder bus service to the Baiyappanahalli metro station, which proved to be a success, with most of the feeder buses being fully booked.
The newly elected Karnataka administration has already asked officials to expedite the Outer Ring Road metro project. Karnataka deputy chief minister DK Shivakumar also announced the opening of six new metro lines by 2026, four of which will be ready by November of this year. The long-awaited Baiyappanahalli-KR Puram metro line is set to open in July.
