New Delhi: An army soldier was shot dead by criminals in Kankarbagh area located in Patna, this morning. This incident took place in a crowded area.

As per information, the army soldier who was shot down has been identified as Bablu Kumar. He is a resident of Kumharar area of Patna.

In the morning today, Bablu Kumar was headed to Patliputra station along with his brother. They were travelling to the Patliputra station on a motorcycle.

Bablu Kumar was posted in Arunachal Pradesh and had come to his home on leave. In the morning when he was going to Patliputra. Two youths on the old bypass Kankarbagh stopped their car after overtaking them. They asked the address of Patna Junction as soon as the soldier stopped. He was shot in the head from behind.

The soldier died on the spot itself. According to the police, after killing Bablu, he tried to shoot his brother too but he fled away. According to SSP Patna Manavjit Singh Dhillon CCTV footage is being checked. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
