New Delhi: Following a ruckus broke out at AR Rahman’s ‘Marakkuma Nenjam’ concert, DGP Shankar Jiwal has ordered a probe into traffic congestion on East Coast Road (ECR). The event took place at Panaiyur on the outskirts of the city on Sunday.
Chief Minister MK Stalin’s convoy was also stuck in traffic. Stalin was returning to the city after attending a wedding in Mamallapuram. Tambaram police station has been asked to conduct a thorough investigation.
They will question the concert organizers about the security and precautionary measures taken on site, traffic arrangements, parking and medical facilities. The live concert became an evening of bitter experience for many.
