New Delhi: In Adarsh Nagar of the national capital, a young man stabbed a girl with a knife as she stopped talking to him after her parents objected.

The accused called the girl for talking at a place where he asked her the reason behind her behaviour. After which, he attacked her with knife nealry six times on neck, stomach andg her hands.

The whole incident got captured in a CCTV camera installed in the area. The victim has sustained injuries on her neck, abdomen and hands.

After that, the victim was admitted to Babu Jagjivan Ram Hospital. Hoewever, the girl is in critical condition.

The police arrested the 22-year-old Sukhwinder on January 2 was arrested for attempting to kill the girl.

The 21-year-old victim lives in Park Extension area with her family. The victim is pursuing BA from DU’s SOL.

Victim has started distancing herself with boy

The two became friends nearly 5 years ago. However, the victim’s family did not like the boy so they asked the girl to stay away from him. The accused could not bear the fact and decided to make an attack.

On Monday, the victim told her parents that she is leaving to learn car driving. Meanwhile, the accused called him on the pretext of talking. Both were walking in the street.

After the incident, the accused had fled from Delhi to Ambala. The police team reached Ambala and caught him on January 3 from Ambala.
