Jhabua: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, within 24 hours after ordering suspension of Jhabua superintendent of police, has now issued instructions to remove Collector Somesh Mishra on Tuesday morning.

The CM had taken action against the SP Arvind Tiwari on the matter of indecency with the students, however, the reason for collector’s transfer has been ascertained to irregularities in administrative work in the district.

Notably, CM Shivraj Singh was on a tour of the Jhabua district on Monday. It is reported that many complaints from the public about delay in implementation of government schemes, bribery were conveyed to the CM.

After this, the CM issued instructions to remove Collector Somesh Mishra on Tuesday morning.

With this, order have also been issued for the posting of new collector of Jhabua. A 2013 batch IAS Rajni Singh has been given the responsibility of Jhabua Collector.

CM’s action on complaint of students

On Monday, during a video conference meeting, CM Shivraj raised questions on the working style of Jhabua SP. The SP was suspended for using abusive language with students of the polytechnic institute’.

The audio of the conversation with the students had gone viral. Following which, the CM expressed his displeasure in the virtual meeting and directed the DGP to remove the Jhabua SP and ordered an inquiry.

Within an hour of the instructions of the CM, the order for suspension of SP Arvind Tiwari was issued. Tiwari has been attached with Bhopal Headquarters.
