New Delhi: After Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s guarantee for education and health for Himachal along with his guarantee for Samman Rashi of Rs 1 crore each to the family of martyrs, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and Senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia announced the party’s fourth guarantee on Wednesday for women.
Manish Sisodia and Punjab CM Sardar Bhagwant Mann announced the guarantee in Palampur, Himachal Pradesh amidst the gathering of hundreds of women from all across the state.
Under this guarantee, after the formation of the Aam Aadmi Party government in Himachal, every woman above the age of 18 years will be given a ‘Stri Samman Rashi’ of Rs 1000 every month by the government.
While announcing the fourth guarantee of CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal to empower the women of Himachal Pradesh, Shri Sisodia said, “If the AAP government comes into power in Himachal, then every woman above 18 years of age will be provided with the “Stri Samman Rashi” of Rs 1000 per month.”
He said that there are many young women in the state who are studying in college and want to pursue a course while studying. But due to financial conditions of the family they are not able to take up the courses.
This amount will help them study properly. There are many women who are not able to run their households properly because of low family income and rising inflation. Along with them, when elderly women in the state will have this amount in hand, then they will not have to be dependent on others.”
Senior Aam Aadmi Party Leader said that this is a guarantee of comfort for the women of Himachal. But traditional parties raise questions on this too. Today people pay tax on every product that they use in their daily life but there are two different models of using it in the country.
One is of CM Arvind Kejriwal that spends taxpayers’ money for providing free education, health and power services to people, another model is of PM Modi that believes in waiving off loans worth crores of its friends.
He said that giving Rs 1000 to every woman in Himachal Pradesh will not empower them but will also make a big difference in the country’s economy. He further added that there is no dearth of money for the government if the intention is right; if a government with good intentions comes into power, everything will change for good in Himachal.
Sisodia said, “Because of his exemplary work in governance, today Arvind Kejriwal is getting the support from all over the country and this is the reason for BJP leader’s fear today. They are conspiring heavily to show him in a bad light. They sent the CBI to search my residence and bank locker, CBI checked my residence for 14 hours and my locker but got nothing.
It did not have any impact on me even for a moment but it hurts to see that for the last 7 years I have been building wonderful schools for the better future of 18 lakh children, sweating to shape the future of the country and this is what I get. I am an honest man and soldier of CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal, it is not easy to break my spirit to work for people.
He said that BJP’s intention is not to stop corruption. If their intention would have been to stop the corruption in the country then a minister who had been driving a scooter till a few years ago, would not have given 7 receptions for his son at 5 star hotels. BJP is scared of CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal and wants to stop him, but he has the full support of people of Himachal.
On this occasion, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Bhagwant Mann said that the government is imposing tax on every product of daily need. Treasures are full for their friends and family but empty for the general public. He said that if the intention is clear and there is honesty in the mind, then these treasures can be used for people to provide basic amenities. But BJP has no intention.
Sardar Bhagwant Mann said that women have been hit the most under the BJP rule. Due to the ever-increasing inflation, it has become difficult for them to run their houses. It’s time to ensure their rights and the AAP government will do that.
Surjit Singh Thakur, President AAP Himachal said, “Traditional parties have been insensitive towards women, could neither give respect nor security to women, AAP will work for ensuring their rights in Himachal.”
