Bahraich (Uttar Pradesh): Six persons were killed and 15 others were injured in the collision of a Roadways bus and a truck in the Tappe Sipah area in Bahraich district on Wednesday.
Station House Officer (SHO) Rajesh Singh confirmed that six people lost their lives in the incident that took place early morning on Wednesday.
The bus was going to Rupaideeha from Lucknow, while the truck was on its way to Lucknow from Bahraich.
In the morning around 4:30 am, it collided with a truck coming from the wrong direction.
The DM said that the injured were admitted to the district hospital and community health center Mustafabad.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed grief over the death of people in the accident. He prayed for peace to the departed souls and expressed condolences to the families of the deceased. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
The Chief Minister also directed to immediately distribute financial assistance under the passenger relief scheme of the transport department.
