Chhattisgarh: A 5-year-old UKG student from Sarguja, Chhattisgarh has been appointed as a child constable. His father, Raj Kumar Rajwade, a police officer, died in a road accident and was posted in Mahila Thana.

ANI tweeted the post with the caption, “Surguja, Chhattisgarh | 5-year-old boy posted as child constable after the death of his father who was a Police constable Raj Kumar Rajwade was a Police officer who passed away in an accident. Today, his son Naman Rajwade was appointed as child constable: Bhavna Gupta, SP (23/03).”

While speaking to ANI his mother Nitu Rajwade said, “My husband died in a road accident. Now my son has been appointed as a child costable. It hurts a bit but I am happy for my child.”

Bhavna Gupta, superintended of police told he was appointed as per the norms by the administration and police headquarters, “Raj Kumar Rajwade, who was a police officer posted in Mahila Thana, died in a road accident. According to the guidelines of police headquarters, in such a case, someone below 18 years is present in the family, he is appointed as ‘child costable’. Under this Naman Rajwade has been appointed as a child constable.”
