New Delhi: A pet dog attack case was reported from the national capital of the Neb Sarai area of South Delhi. After the complaint, the police registered the case against the owner at Neb Sarai police station under IPC section 289.
According to the media reports, On March 29, a 17-year-old girl in Delhi was attacked by a pet dog of the “American Bully” species. According to a Delhi Police statement, the girl had sustained injuries in the dog attack and was admitted to Safdarjung Hospital.
The girl told the police that on March 29, she went to the terrace of her building where Man Singh, who lives on the top floor, was also present along with his pet dog American Bully. The minor told that after some time the dog attacked him.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Chandan Chowdhary said that the police control room at Neb Sarai police station received a call in which the caller told the police that his daughter had been bitten by a dog. The DCP said that the medical-legal report of the injured had been taken from the hospital.

Number of cases from Delhi of dog bite
The number of cases of dog bites has increased in Delhi in the last six months. On March 12, two children (five and seven years old) were bitten by stray dogs in Ruchi Vihar, Vasant Kunj. According to media reports, Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital recorded 29,698 dog bite cases in the last six months, while the Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) in the national capital recorded 18,183 dog bite cases.
