New Delhi: A minor boy has been detained allegedly for sexually assaulting a three-year-old girl in his neigbhor in northeast Delhi’s Welcome area.

As per a report of the news agency PTI, the incident occurred on Thursday evening when the 14-year-old accused took the girl to a vacant plot and molested her.

After which, the girl reached her house and narrated the situation to parents who then approached the police. The parent’s also called the boy at home to confirm the matter.

While interrogating the boy by the victim’s parents, he confessed of the crime.

Police have registered a case under sections 363 (punishment for kidnapping) and 376 (rape) and section 6 of the Protection of Children Against Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act at Welcome Police Station.
