Canara Bank offer for pensioners: Canara Bank has brought a scheme Canara Jeevan Dhara for pensioners on the savings bank accounts. This scheme will provide many benefits to the pensioners. Employees who have retired on a voluntary basis or on normal retirement can take the benefits of this scheme.
It is informed on the X that Canara Jeevan Dhara, a special scheme for pensioners having saving accounts can take advantage of the benefits of the scheme. Benefits like loans against deposits, concessions on medical expenses and much more are provided under the scheme. Two special accounts – Diamond and Platinum
The bank provides two kinds of pension credits the basis of The Diamond account is for deposits up to Rs 50,000 and the Platinum account is for deposits above Rs 50,000.
Canara Jeevan Dhara interest rate
As per the Canara Bank website, the rate of interest on Jeevan Dhara’s account will be similar to a regular savings account which ranges from 2.90% to 4%. That depends on the balance of the account. The bank is providing a 2.90% rate of interest for savings accounts with balances under Rs 50 lakh and up to Rs 5 crore.
The bank gives a 2.95% rate of interest rate on the balance of Rs 5 crore to Rs 10 crore in savings accounts and an interest of 3.05% on the balance of Rs 10 crore to less than Rs 100 crore.
Canara Bank is now paying an interest rate of 3.50% on outstanding accounts that maintain a balance between Rs 100 crore to less than Rs 500 crore.
Canara Bank is paying 3.10% interest on savings account balances between Rs 200 crore and Rs 500 crore.
Offers
Under this account, the bank will offer 0.75% more than the deposit rate for senior citizens. For the customers of this account, the bank will provide the top-up facility on the pension loan. Up to 25% off on medical expenses for Canara Bank Jeevan Dhara customers.
Canara Bank offers an interest rate of 4 per cent to 7.25 per cent for the general public and 4 per cent to 7.75 per cent for senior citizens on FDs maturing in 7 days to 10 years.
