UP’s Gautam Buddha Nagar gets Rs 18,693 crore investment

Uttar Pradesh’s Gautam Buddha Nagar has received an investment worth Rs 18,693 crore from the recently conducted Global Investors Conference (UPGIS 2023), According to an official.

Agra comes in second with 78 MoUs worth Rs 13,543 crore inked, while Ghaziabad comes in third with 2266 MoUs worth Rs 12,887 crore signed. In addition, 396 MoUs totaling Rs 10,542 crore have been signed for the Meerut district.

It went on to say that the Yogi Adityanath government has signed 8,829 MoUs in the MSME sector worth Rs 1.37 lakh crore, which would result in the creation of 18 lakh jobs.

“The Yogi Government has also inked 212 MoUs worth Rs 5,404 crore for Varanasi, the state’s cultural capital, as well as 132 investment agreements worth Rs 5090 crore for Moradabad and 322 MoUs worth Rs 4,587 crore for Kanpur Nagar in the MSME sector. Additionally, 208 MoUs worth Rs 4,558 crore have been signed for Lucknow “It went on to say.

According to the government, 196 MoUs worth Rs 4,224 crore have been inked for Aligarh, and 208 MoUs worth Rs 3,926 crore have been signed for Hapur.

A total of 4,403 MoUs have been signed across the state for the top ten districts, with a proposed investment of Rs 83,454 crore. This investment accounts for more than 60% of the total MoUs.

According to the announcement, MoUs have also been inked for investment in religiously significant areas of the state.

“In the MSME sector, an investment of Rs 5,404 crore is suggested for Varanasi, Rs 1,764 crore for Gorakhpur, Rs 1,050 crore for Mathura, Rs 1,020 crore for Prayagraj, Rs 826 crore for Chitrakoot, and Rs 611 crore for Ayodhya,” it added.

Bundelkhand, which was previously recognised as one of the state’s underdeveloped regions, has also emerged as a popular investment destination as a result of the Yogi government’s efforts, attracting an investment of Rs 826 crore through 126 MoUs for Chitrakoot and Rs 760 crore through 58 MoUs for Mahoba.

In addition, 45 MoUs worth Rs 476 crores for Jhansi, 52 MoUs worth Rs 370 crores for Banda, 30 MoUs worth Rs 318 crores for Hamirpur, 28 MoUs worth Rs 292 crores for Lalitpur, and 16 MoUs worth Rs 188 crores for Jalaun have been signed (16 MoUs). In total, 355 MoUs have been inked for an investment of Rs 3,230 crore in seven Bundelkhand districts.
