On Thursday, gold (Gold Price Update) became cheaper by Rs 404 per 10 grams and closed at Rs 55796 per kg. Whereas on the last trading day on Wednesday, gold closed at Rs 56142 per 10 grams with a gain of Rs 561 per 10 grams.
On Wednesday also, along with gold, a rise in the price of silver (Gold Price Update) was registered. Silver became costlier by Rs 149 and closed at Rs per kg. Whereas on the last trading day on Wednesday, the silver rate climbed up by Rs 149 per kg and closed at Rs 69371 per kg.

Thus, on Thursday, 24-carat gold became cheaper by Rs 346 to Rs 55,796 per 10 grams, 23-carat gold became cheaper by Rs 344 to Rs 55,573, 22-carat gold became cheaper by Rs 317 to Rs 51,109, 18-carat gold became cheaper by Rs 260 to Rs 41,847. And 14-carat gold became cheaper by Rs 202 and closed at Rs 32641 per 10 grams.

Gold down by Rs400; silver by Rs 12300 from all-time high
