Vi’s ‘SuperHero’ Prepaid Packs
Additionally, Vi has launched ‘SuperHero’ prepaid packs alongside its unlimited data plans, offering exclusive benefits like unlimited 4G data from midnight to noon, 2GB daily data for daytime use, and a weekend data rollover feature. These SuperHero plans are currently available in Maharashtra, New Delhi, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, West Bengal, Punjab, and Haryana.
Vi 5G
According to Financial Express, Vi CEO Akshay Moondra recently confirmed the company’s phased 5G rollout plan. In a new year message sent to customers over email, the chief executive teased a “supercharged network experience” with new tariff plans tailored for 5G due for release in 2025.
While specific details about Vi’s 5G strategy remain under wraps, Moondra has hinted at the possibility of capped or metered 5G plans, to set it apart from Jio and Airtel.
Vi made substantial investments in network upgrades throughout 2024, adding 46,000 new sites and boosting capacity at 58,000 existing ones. To support its 5G rollout, the company has partnered with leading tech giants like Ericsson, Nokia, and Samsung.
With a strong focus on enhancing network quality, launching unlimited data plans, and gearing up for 5G deployment, Vi is positioning itself for a robust comeback. This move not only challenges Jio and Airtel but also provides customers with a compelling alternative. Stay tuned for more updates!
Vi is the third-largest telecom company in the country and has so far been providing only 4G connectivity to its users. However, starting in March, the company plans to roll out 5G services across 75 cities. This new offer is seen as a strategic move to retain customers until the 5G launch.
Jio extended the deadline of the offer
Reliance Jio has also gifted a big surprise to its users by extending the deadline for its ₹2025 recharge plan, which was introduced on New Year’s. Initially, the offer was valid until January 11, but it has now been extended until January 31. This plan includes 500GB of data and unlimited free calling, with a validity of 200 days.
