Over the past five years, Gujarat has witnessed a significant surge in the registration of 37,56,390 new MSMEs across the state. During the same period, 8,779 MSMEs have shut down, indicating the resilience of the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector amid global economic strain. Union Minister of State for MSMEs, Shobha Karandlaje, disclosed this information while replying to a question by Rajya Sabha MP Parimal Nathwani on Monday's opening day of the Monsoon Session.
