Trump Threatens Tariff On Imported Furniture Within Next 50 Days

Trump said that this plan will help bring the furniture business back to North Carolina, South Carolina, Michigan, and States all across the Union.

Washington: US President Donald Trump on Friday threatened fresh tariffs on imported furniture within the next 50 days, saying his administration will launch an investigation into the sector. He said that the furniture imported into the United States from other countries will be subject to a tariff at a rate yet to be decided.

“I am pleased to announce that we are doing a major Tariff Investigation on Furniture coming into the United States. Within the next 50 days, that Investigation will be completed, and Furniture coming from other Countries into the United States will be Tariffed at a Rate yet to be determined, ” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Trump further said that this plan will help bring the furniture business back to North Carolina, South Carolina, Michigan, and States all across the Union.
