The story behind the manufacturing of sneakers is very unique. During the 80s, Apple allowed certain brands to use their own brand for special edition products. Many top companies like Honda, Braun were included in such companies. In this sequence, the company partnered with Omega Sports to make custom-made sneakers for Apple employees. Apple’s old rainbow logo is also emblazoned on these sneakers. Because of this also they have become very special.
These sneakers were made in the 90s. These were custom made for the company’s employees and were given as gifts at the National Sales Conference in the 90s. These were never launched in the market for the general public. This is the reason why they have become very rare in today’s world and people are ready to pay exorbitant prices to buy them.
Starting price
Now these sneakers are being auctioned by Sotheby’s. “Featuring a predominantly white upper, the old-school rainbow Apple logo — on both the tongue and sides — is a standout detail,” the auctioneer company wrote on its website. It further added, “Never reaching the general public, this particular pair of sneakers is one of the most obscure in existence and highly coveted in the resale market.”

These sneakers have been listed for auction for US $ 50,000 (about 42 lakh rupees in Indian currency). However, during the auction, buyers can bid even more. It is worth mentioning that recently Apple’s first generation iPhone was also bought in an auction for more than Rs 1.5 crore.
