Mahipal Singh entered the business of selling women's period products, such as sanitary pads, after an incident with his daughter. Starting with about 20 lakh rupees, his business has now grown to 2 to 3 crore rupees.

Success Story: Anyone can have a motive to start a business, but few do so after learning a lesson from a personal incident. One such person is Mahipal Singh, the founder and CEO of Revaa. The brand sells women’s period products, including sanitary pads. Mahipal entered this business after an incident involving his daughter. His business, which started with around 20 lakh rupees, has grown to 2 to 3 crore rupees today.

Mahipal recalls that in 2020, his daughter, then about 12 years old, started menstruating. His wife was unwell and in isolation at home, leaving Mahipal responsible for the household and their daughter. When his daughter began her period, Mahipal was unsure how to handle the situation, and his wife was unable to help. Consequently, Mahipal had to manage everything on his own.

Mahipal explained that it was very difficult for him to help his daughter with her periods and to put on sanitary pads, but he managed somehow. He faced problems the first time, but his wife helped from a distance, and he was able to take care of his daughter. Later, he thought about other people living alone with their daughters who might face similar issues. So, he decided to create something to help girls manage their periods on their own.

Mahipal Singh Shares His Success Story

When Mahipal conceived the idea of starting a business related to periods, he was already involved in his fintech business. He consulted friends and experts about this new venture. During these discussions, many people advised him that discussing such matters was traditionally considered women’s domain and that pursuing such a business idea was unrealistic. They suggested he pursue a different line of work instead.

In October 2023, he established a company called Revaa and began selling period-related products. Although less than a year has passed since he started his business, his revenue has reached approximately 2 to 3 crore rupees.

Mahipal’s company Revaa sells various types of pads online. They offer both reusable and disposable sanitary pads, as well as reusable period panties. Their platform also features a range of other products. Additionally, experts share information on periods and hygiene through their social media channels.
