The Government of Odisha has unveiled the Subhadra Yojana, a financial assistance scheme. This scheme is to empower women across the state. The eligible women will receive Rs 10,000 per year in two instalments under this scheme. This scheme is aimed to help women become self-reliant and financially stable.
Notably, this scheme was launched on Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s birthday on September 17, 2024, with an allocated budget of Rs 55,825 crore. Moreover, the scheme will run over for 5 year, during which a total of Rs 50,000 will be given to the eligible beneficiary.
This scheme is designed in a way, that it supports women in starting small businesses and improving their financial condition. Furthermore, the scheme will also empower women by expanding their social status in families and society, and will promote better education and health facilities in families.
Women, who are the resident of Odisha and are aged between 21 and 60 years, can apply under this scheme. They can submit their applications in both ways, online and offline.
How To Apply For Subhadra Yojana?
Online Process
- Step 1: Go to the official website, subhadra.odisha.gov.in.
- Step 2: Tab on the “Register”, and provide the required details.
- Step 3: Individuals need to submit the required documents.
- Step 4: Click on the Submit button.
Offline Process
- Step 1: To file the application, individuals need to visit the Block Office, Anganwadi Centre, or Common Service Centre (CSC).
- Step 2: Thereafter, they have to collect the application form.
- Step 3: Provide the required details and attach the documents required.
- Step 4: Individuals can now submit the form at the same centre.
Documents Required
Any women applying for the benefits of the Subhadra Yojana must have certain documents. These documents include: aadhaar card, birth certificate, bank account details, address proof, caste certificate (if applicable), residence certificate, mobile number and email details, passport-size photo, and signature.

Any individual applying under the Subhadra Yojana can check their application status by following some simple steps. They can visit the official website and check the status by providing your application number. They can also call the toll-free number, 14678, and gather details by just providing their application number.
