Share Market: India’s benchmark stock market indices Sensex and Nifty settle down positively on Friday, October 18, 2024. The 30 Sensex firms surges 218.14 points to settle at 81,224.75 points. The Nifty50 index on NSE too ended with a raise. Nifty50 rally 104.20 points to settle down at 24,854.05 levels in Friday trade.

Among the Sensex pack, shares of Axis bank, ICICI bank, Tata Motors, UltraTech Cement, Kotak Mahindra Bank etc. settled in green on Friday. Shares of Bajaj finance, Tech Mahindra, HCL Technologies, Nestle India, Asian Paints, Maruti Suzuki etc tumbled to settle in Friday trade.

Both benchmark stock market indices Sensex and Nifty opened in red on Friday. The 30 Sensex firms in early trade tumbled 597.36 points to reach 80,409.25 levels, while, the Nifty50 tanked to reach at 24,567.65 levels in early trade.

TCS (Tata Consultancy Services) – Settle 0.38% up at Rs 4,121.85 per share.

Tata Steel – Settle 1.94% up at Rs 155.30 per share.

Tata Motors – Settle 2.06% up at Rs 910.05 per share.

Reliance Industries (RIL) – Settle 0.15% up at Rs 2,717.55 per share.

JSW Steel – Settle 1.76% up at Rs 981.70 per share.

HCL Technologies – Settle 0.54% down at Rs 1857.20 per share.

Tech Mahindra – Settle 0.68% up at Rs 1,688 per share.

Adani Ports – Settle 0.75% up at Rs 1,405 per share.

ITC – Settle 0.44% down at Rs 486.65 per share.

HDFC Bank – Settle 0.47% up at Rs 1681.15 per share.

Notably, 19 of the 30 firms of Sensex settled down positively, whereas shares of other 11 Sensex packed companies tumbled on Friday.
