Stock Market Opening: After seven consecutive days of decline amid mixed signals from the international and US markets, today the Indian domestic stock market is in a bullish trend. Earlier, on the last trading day Monday (27 February 2023), the Indian stock market closed with a decline for the seventh consecutive day. The Sensex closed at 59,288, down nearly 175 points, while the Nifty closed at 17,392, down nearly 73 points. Investors lost about Rs 2 lakh crore in one day. Heavy losses were seen in IT, tech, commodity, telecommunications and auto stocks. Due to this fall, investors lost Rs 2 lakh crore today.

In the beginning this morning, trading started in about 1,924 companies on BSE. In which about 1,123 shares gained, 676 declined and share prices of 125 companies opened at the previous day’s prices. Whereas 24 shares are trading at 52 weeks high and 78 shares are trading at 52 weeks low.

Talking about today’s rising shares, the shares of many companies including Bajaj Auto, Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Motors, Tata Steel, Hero MotoCorp are seeing a boom.

While looking at the falling shares, many companies including Adani Enterprises, Sipla, HUL, Adani Port, Titan Company are seeing a decline in their shares.

Rupee opens with a weakness of 15 paise

On the first day of this first trading week, on Monday also, the foreign exchange market opened strongly against the dollar. In early trade today, the rupee opened higher by 15 paise at Rs 82.69 against the dollar. While on the last trading day on Monday, the rupee had closed at a level of Rs 82.84 against the dollar with a weakness of 8 paise.

Monday (20 February 2023): The Sensex closed at 60,691 points with a fall of 311 points. While the Nifty closed at 17,847 points with a softening of about 97 points.
