Stock exchange Update: The Indian stock market is down for the second straight day on Monday following global cues from the global and Asian markets. Sensex and Nifty both have a downtrend. Sensex and Nifty are trading on the red mark.

On the first day of this business week, Monday (December 5), trading began in the red, with the Indian domestic stock market softening. Today, the BSE 30-share index Sensex opened 150 points lower at 62,715, while the NSE 50-share index Nifty opened 29 points lower at 18,668.

Previously, the Sensex and Nifty fell on the last Friday (December 2) of the previous trading week. The Sensex ended the day at 62,868, down 415 points. While the Nifty reached a low of 18,696 with a 116-point loss. This drop came after the market had rallied for the previous eight days.

Stock exchange Update: Share market status today

A total of 2,074 companies started trading on the BSE early this morning. Out of which about 1,260 shares opened up and 596 declined. While the share prices of 218 companies are stable. Whereas 64 stocks are trading at 52 week high and 3 stocks at 52 week low.

Today’s rising and falling stocks

Talking about today’s rising shares, the shares of many companies including Hindalco, Tata Steel, JSW Steel, Coal India, UPL are seeing a boom.

While looking at the falling stocks, many companies including Hero MotoCorp, Nestle India, Hindustan Unilever, Power Grid, SBI Life are seeing a decline in their shares.

Rupee opens with a gain of 35 paise against the dollar

The rupee opened strongly against the dollar in the foreign exchange market today. On Monday, the rupee opened at a level of 81.24 against the dollar with a strength of 8 paise in early trade today. While on Friday, the last trading day of the last week, the rupee closed at a level of Rs 81.32 against the dollar with a weakness of 10 paise.

Friday (December 2): The Sensex closed at 63,868 points with a fall of 415 points. While the Nifty closed at 18,696 points with a softening of 116 points.

Thursday (December 1): The Sensex closed at 63,099 points with a gain of 417 points. While the Nifty closed at 18,812 points with a gain of 54 points.

Wednesday (30 November): The Sensex closed at 63,284 points with a gain of 184 points. While the Nifty closed at 18,267 points with a gain of 140 points.

Tuesday (29 November): The Sensex closed at 62,681 points with a gain of 177 points. While the Nifty jumped 55 points to close at 18,816.

Monday (28 November): Sensex closed at 62,504 points with a gain of 211 points. While the Nifty closed at 18,562 points with a gain of 50 points.
