New Delhi: SpiceJet announced that it has cancelled its flights on the route to Puducherry-Bengaluru-Hyderabad till July 12 due to citing operational issues.
Passengers who have already booked their tickets will get a full refund or alternative flight tickets.
The airline stated, “SpiceJet regrets to inform you that it has decided to temporarily suspend its flights on the Puducherry-Bengaluru-Hyderabad route from June 20 to July 2, 2023, due to operational reasons.”
They added, “Passengers who have already booked tickets on these flights will be accommodated on other SpiceJet flights or will be refunded the full amount of their tickets.”
SpiceJet is the only airline that offers nonstop service on this route. On this route, the airline currently runs two flights every day. Other airlines operating on this route, such as AirAsia India and Go First, are likely to gain from the suspension of flights on this route. AirAsia India now operates three daily flights on this route, whereas Go First operates four daily flights. The suspension of flights on this route will also assist road transport firms such as bus and taxi companies.
