Share Market Today: The Indian stock market benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty 50, settled down in red on Tuesday, November 12, 2024. The Sensex tumbled 820.97 points to settle at 78,675.18 on Thursday. Nifty50 index also declined 257.85 points to settle at 23,883.45 points.
Foreign investors withdrew a substantial Rs 23,911 crore from Indian equities in November, as of now. These investors pulled out Rs 94,017 crore from Indian share market in October 2024.
Last week’s market sentiment was significantly shaped by two major events: the US Presidential election, which saw Donald Trump secure a landslide victory, and the US Federal Reserve’s interest rate decision, where they cut rates by 25 basis points.
Sensex gainers on Tuesday were Infosys, Sunpharma, ICICI Bank, TCS and Reliance Industries, whereas all others, including Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Indusind Bank, and Nestle India were among the losers.

Reliance Industries (RIL) – Settled at 1,273.10 per share.
JSW Steel – Settle 2.23% down at Rs 956.85 per share.
HCL Technologies – Settle 0.22% down at Rs 1,862.90 per share.
Tech Mahindra – Settle 0.95% down at Rs 1,687.20 per share.
Adani Ports – Settle 1.63% down at Rs 1,325.30 per share.
ITC – Settle 0.84% down at Rs 472.70 per share.
HDFC Bank – Settle 2.73% down at Rs 1,718.35 per share.
On Tuesday, 25 out of 30 Sensex constituents ended in the red, while 5 Sensex stocks closed in the green.
