Share Market Today: The Indian stock market benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty 50, settled down in red on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. The Sensex tumbled a massive 984.23 points to settle at 77,690.95 on Wednesday. Nifty50 index also declined 324.40 points to settle at 23,559.05 points. Notably, the benchmark indices are trailing from quite a some time now.
In the meanwhile, foreign investors withdrew a substantial Rs 21,068 crore from Indian equities in November, as of now. These investors pulled out Rs 94,017 crore from Indian bourses in October 2024.
Last week’s market sentiment was significantly shaped by two major events: the US Presidential election, which saw Donald Trump’s landslide victory, and the US Federal Reserve’s interest rate decision, where the rate cut by 25 basis points was witnessed.
The only Sensex gainers on Wednesday were NTPC, Tata Motors, and Infosys, whereas all others, including Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M), Indusind Bank, and Nestle India were among the losers.

Tech Mahindra – Settle 0.67% down at Rs 1,675.95 per share.
Adani Ports – Settle 2.82% down at Rs 1,287.95 per share.
ITC – Settle 0.12% down at Rs 472.15 per share.
HDFC Bank – Settle 2.16% down at Rs 1,681.25 per share.
On Wednesday, 27 out of 30 Sensex constituents ended in the red, while only 3 Sensex stocks closed in the green.
