Share Market Update: After three days of gains, Indian domestic stocks began trading lower, owing to mixed global cues from the global and Asian markets. The Indian domestic stock market began trading with a decline on Thursday (November 17), the fourth day of this business week. Both the Sensex and the Nifty open in the red. Today, the Sensex fell 168 points and the Nifty fell 51 points.

The Bombay Stock Exchange’s major sensitive index Sensex (BSE Sensex) fell 168 points in early trade today, opening at 61,812. The NSE Nifty dropped 51 points to open at 18,358.

Today’s market situation

The BSE began trading with 1,618 companies early this morning. In which 734 shares rose and 750 fell. While 134 companies’ share prices remained stable. Whereas 36 stocks are trading at 52-week highs, only 9 are trading at 52-week lows.

Rising and falling stocks details

Many companies’ shares are rising today, including RSN, Power Grid, Cipla, Tata Consumer, Bharti Airtel, Sun Pharma, Adani Enterprises, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, and UltraTech Cement.

Many companies, including Tata Motors, Titan Company, Hindalco, Tech Mahindra, Eicher Motors, Tata Steel, HCL Tech, JSW Steel, and TCS, are seeing their shares fall.

The rupee begins the day down 36 paise against the dollar

Today’s foreign exchange market saw the rupee open strongly against the dollar. The rupee opened today at 80.94 against the US dollar, down 36 paise. On the other hand, on the previous trading day, Wednesday, the rupee closed at Rs 81.30 against the dollar, a 20-paise loss.

14 November (Monday ): The Sensex closed at 61,624 points with a fall of 171 points. While the Nifty fell 21 points to close at 18,329.

11 November (Friday): The Sensex closed at 61,795 points with a gain of 1181 points. While the Nifty jumped 321 points to close at 18,362.

10 November (Thursday): The Sensex closed at 60,613 points with a fall of 420 points. While the Nifty fell 128 points to close at 18,028.

9 November  (Wednesday): The Sensex closed at 61,033 points with a fall of 151 points. While the Nifty fell 45 points to close at 18,157.
