As the financial year concludes on March 31, investors and traders are preparing for six holidays within the final 12 days of March. This month had thirteen trading holidays, excluding regular weekends. Notably, this year March has the most trading holidays with three. Remarkably, these three holidays coincide with weekends, allowing traders to take longer vacations.

Due to this arrangement, there are six holidays in all during the final twelve days of March, including three consecutive holidays that fall on weekends, giving market participants longer respite.
Here are the Share Market holidays in March 2024:
– March 23 (Saturday): Weekend
– March 24 (Sunday): Weekend
– March 25 (Monday): Holi
– March 29 (Friday): Good Friday
– March 30 (Saturday): Weekend
– March 31 (Sunday): Weekend
On March 25, on the occasion of Holi, the morning session (9 am to 5 pm) for commodity trading and electronic gold receipts (EGR) will discontinue. However, trading on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) will continue in the evening session. On March 29, Good Friday, both the morning and evening trading sessions will be suspended.
The Share Market will only operate for three days during the last week of March due to the scheduled holidays.
It’s significant to note that according to BSE’s stock market holiday list, a total of three holidays have been announced for March. The initial holiday occurred on March 8, coinciding with the observance of Mahashivratri, resulting in a pause in stock market trading.
